# Career Opportunity: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for Jawa 9 & 10 Power Plant Project

Doosan Heavy Industries Indonesia is currently spearheading the development of the Jawa 9 & 10 Power Plant project, a monumental 2x1000MW coal-fired steam power facility located in Suralaya, Cilegon, Banten. ## Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the transition of our power plant systems from the construction phase to full operational status. Your core duties will include:
* System Testing and Analysis: Execute rigorous performance testing, including motor solo runs, fan/pump assessments, and comprehensive load testing to ensure system integrity.
* Complex Troubleshooting: Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve intricate mechanical issues involving pumps, fans, valves, and other critical plant equipment.
* Site Management and Reporting: Conduct detailed site surveys, maintain accurate field reports, and provide continuous monitoring of site-specific technical challenges.
* Commissioning Oversight: Manage, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end commissioning process for all major power plant mechanical systems.
* Technical Instrumentation: Utilize professional-grade tools, including vibration meters, temperature sensors, and specialized mechanical testing apparatus to verify equipment performance.
## Qualifications and Professional Requirements
To thrive in this challenging environment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
* Industry Experience: At least five years of proven experience within the Power Plant, EPC, or heavy construction sectors. Previous experience working within a Korean corporate environment will be considered a significant advantage.
* Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for reporting and inter-departmental collaboration.
* Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and competence in CAD software and other relevant engineering drawing applications.
* Logistical Readiness: Applicants must be willing to be stationed at the Suralaya Site Office in Cilegon, Banten. Please note that this role operates on a non-rotational schedule and is offered as a contract position.
