# Career Opportunity: Join the Wildlife Ecotourism Project with Indonesia’s Ministry of Forestry
The Ministry of Forestry, through the Directorate General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation (KSDAE), is officially launching a recruitment drive for the "Enhancing Co-Benefits of Conservation Area Management through an Inclusive Wildlife-based Ecotourism Strategy" (WILDLIFE ECOTOURISM) project. Funded by the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF), this initiative aims to strengthen biodiversity conservation and ecosystem resilience across Indonesia by fostering inclusive, community-driven ecotourism.
We are seeking dedicated professionals to fill key roles within the Project Management Unit (PMU) and the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to drive sustainable economic growth and environmental stewardship.
## Available Positions and Locations
The project encompasses a national hub in Bogor and five vital conservation sites across the archipelago.
1. Project Management Unit (PMU) – Bogor
The PMU will oversee national strategy, policy, and administration. Open positions include:
* National Project Manager
* Finance Associate
* Administrative Assistant
* Communication and Knowledge Management (KM) Officer
* Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Officer
* Policy, Wildlife-based Ecotourism, and Capacity Building Specialist

2. Project Implementation Unit (PIU) – Site Locations
The PIU will operate directly within the field at the following National Parks:
* Tanjung Puting National Park
* Way Kambas National Park
* Baluran National Park
* Alas Purwo National Park
* Wakatobi National Park
* Regional Coordinators / Community Engagement and Capacity Building Officers
* Regional Finance and Administrative Officers
## General Requirements for Applicants
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
* Must be an Indonesian Citizen (WNI).
* Must submit a formal application letter addressed to the National Project Director (NPD) of the WILDLIFE ECOTOURISM project (Director of Environmental Services Utilization).
* Must attach valid supporting documentation, including:

## Professional Qualifications: National Project Manager
The National Project Manager position requires an exceptional candidate with a strategic vision. Key requirements include:
* Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Forestry, Conservation, Ecotourism, or related fields. A Master’s degree (S2) is highly preferred.
* Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience in forestry, natural resource management, or wildlife-based tourism.
* Competencies:
* Proven expertise in project management, including budget planning, logical framework development, and reporting.
* Strong understanding of sustainable tourism, visitor management, and animal welfare principles.
* Fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory for effective communication with international stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to coordinate across diverse ministerial, private sector, and community organizations.
